Facebook Socializes Groups

Facebook groups have quietly sat outside of the mainstream of Facebook activity like the lone child watching everyone else play in the sandbox. Group activity was not published anywhere except for inside the group but that’s all changed!

Now groups look a lot more like fan pages - they have their own wall and tabs like fan pages do.

…looks like a fan page eh? I like it!

And that’s not all, now each time one of your friends posts or takes some action in a group it will be delivered to your newsfeed so that you can easily see what’s going on and even comment on it right from your feed.

Personally, I love the new change! I love the new group look, it’s much more social, and this will allow for greater use and interaction. Prior to this change, you had to work hard to keep groups visible; these changes seem promising for increasing group visibility and attracting attention.
