Where is your Twitter ID?

Is it in your email signature?  It should be.  Just like your website should be in your signature, so should your Twitter link.

Is it on your blogs and websites?  Hello visibility.

Is it on your other social platforms?

If you do hard copy advertising, is it on your ads, brochures, fliers, even your business cards?  If you run online ads, is it there?  Consider incentives.

Is it in any other signatures you can squeeze it into?

For some companies, you could also consider:

  • ball caps or shirts at company sporting events
  • somewhere in your office to let clients and others know how to connect with you
  • on a shirt or name tag at appropriate events
  • on gifts such as engraved calendars or notepads, and holiday or birthday cards your company sends
  • if your company gives out pens or pencils w/company info on it, consider including Twitter ID
  • coupons or gift certificates issued by the company

Showing off your Twitter ID lets people know that you’re accessible and that your company is “in the know”.

Let people know exactly where to find you.  They may not initially think “hmm, wonder if this person is on Twitter” but if you show your Twitter off, they’re likely to think “wow, they’re on Twitter…let me add them!”  Now not only can they connect with you, you can connect with them too and they’ll see your Tweets when you post.

If you’re not on Twitter, or are so new to it that you still don’t quite get it, contact me and I’ll personally tell you why you should be.  No canned responses, tell me what you do/what your company does and I’ll be specific and personal with my reply – serving the real purpose of Social Media.

If you are already on Twitter and moving ahead, get your Twitter link out there, everywhere.  You already know how it connects you with the world, with your clients/customers, with your potential clients, with your evangelists; how it allows you to do damage control; and how it builds relationships.

If you’re a company or a group, don’t forget to consider a primary company/group Twitter page.  Read about how this is great and how you can easily create a centralized page for your company or group and even allow multiple authors.

Any other ideas for where to include your Twitter ID?
