Okay, so I just saw something I really liked.  First, the run down of how I came across this.

I needed a second opinion on something I was working on for a client so I sent out a Tweet saying:

could a website PRO spare a few minutes for me please? Got an issue I need to quickly discuss. =)

I didn’t get an immediate response so 2 days later I sent out another Tweet,

Still need to chat a moment with a website pro please?! Few questions? I’ll do something nice for you =) Anyone?

(Mind you, I could have pursued my need more aggressively but it wasn’t dire at that second to get an answer)

@cgw3 quickly responded offering his web consulting help.  Thanks so much Carl (a Twitter Angel)! We chatted, I got the help I needed, and he referred me to @octane for further website assistance and for following on Twitter.  So I followed him, and went to check out his site by clicking the link in his Twitter profile.

I was pleasantly greeted by a page specifically created for visitors coming from Twitter! He immediately introduces himself to you and breaks down his Twitter name, his follow policy, and his thoughts on Twitter = fan-freakin-tastic! I love it!  (matter of fact @Octane, I’m probably going to jack you for this!)

It’s a great idea.  You should always have a link to your website or a social profile in your Twitter profile but this is even better!  You personally invite your Twitter visitors, give them a quick rundown about yourself and invite them in!

And this gives me yet another time to harp on Twitter! I’ve met yet another fantastic guy, who I had never spoken to before who offered up his help to me – @cgw3 and am in the process of meeting someone else who looks to be fabulous and who I must commend for his personal Twitter intro – @octane !

I have met some awesome people via Twitter for every venture, personal and business.  …nevermind the insane resources I’ve found there …or the website visitors I get from there …need I go on? Yay Twitter!

Twitter visitors want to know who you are.  Tell them!

Social Media Maniac,
@areaK
